Hours & the Planets

Certain hours are considered good or bad for some activities according to the planets ruling the hours from sunrise to sunrise of the next day, each hours is ruled a planet. The first hour starts from sunrise, and is ruled by the planet presiding over the day.

Planets presiding over the seven days of the week are: Sunday-Sun, Monday-Moon, Tuesday-Mars, Wednesday-Mercury, Thursday-Jupiter, Friday-Venus, Saturday-Saturn. On Sundays the first hour is ruled by sun. During 24 hours from sunrise, each planet rules 3 or 4 hours by rotation.

Serial order of the planets ruling the hours are Sun, Venus, mercury, moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars in the cyclic order and one hour in each turn. After Mars again Sun, Venus etc., The counting should be done from the planet presiding over that day. Moon presides over Monday, so the first on Monday is ruled by moon. Moon Hours

The Moon governs mother, female relatives, family, home, domestic matters, daily needs, essential supplies, public works, changes, journeys, public relations, in chest- breasts, stomach, female functions, water, juices, fruits, milk, oils, wines, soft drinks, food grains, catering, swimming. Gem: Pearl, silver, white colour. Moon hours are favourable for changes, journeys, public works, domestic affairs and dealing in liquids, etc.

Mars Hours
