Influence of Saturn

Saturn is generally considered as an evil planet causing troubles, delays, failure, loss, pains, sorrow, humiliation,disappointment and all sorts of difficulties. People usually curse Saturn whenever they face problems, and frequently express fears about the evil effects of Sade-Sathe —7 1/2 years of Saturn's transit in the twelfth, first, and second house from the moon sign at birth— and also when Saturn passes through the 8^th house and 4^th house from the moon sign —known as Ashtama & Ardha-ashtama sani. But statistical study of number of horoscopes prove that the transit of Saturn in houses 12-1-2-4 & 8 from the natal moon is not always adverse and in some cases it proved highly beneficial. People with Saturn in the first house are well disciplined, more cautious and careful, very practical, prudent, calm, hard working, steady and they realise their responsibilities and limitations. They base their decisions on facts and figures and they make repeated efforts until they achieve their goals. Saturn governs agriculture, industry mining, earth works, bricks, potteries, cement, building material, iron, steel, coal, real estate business, constructions of buildings, mechanical engineering and other occupations. Well-aspected Saturn gives material gains, property and power and the ability to handle managerial positions.

Afflicted Saturn causes disappointments, delays, loss, failure, sorrow, hurdles, falls, and diseases like arthritis, paralysis, skin complaints, toothache, and pains in the knees, joints, and bones. Adverse Saturn causes chronic diseases.

First House Saturn in the first house limits the scope for personal development due to strict discipline, timidity, lack of opportunities and self-confidence and adverse circumstances or conditions. It makes the person realise his responsibilities and duties, the need for self-reliance and repeated efforts to achieve his goals. Second House Income may not be sufficient to meet the requirements. He realises the need for economy, savings, and financial control. Suitable for handling stocks, stores, cash, real estate, production, sales and financial control. Acquires prosperity in advanced age. Third House Realises responsibilities of siblings who create problems. Voice may be low. May have some defect in speech, hearing, or walk, or suffer from bronchitis, spondilitis or pains in the arms and shoulders. Talks less. Good for writing, teaching and communications. 4th House Limitations to progress due to domestic conditions, responsibility of parents, lack of comforts or early demise of parents, inherits or acquires property. Suitable for real estate business civil and mechanical engineering, building materials, agriculture, mineral and livestock. May have pains in the chest, breast and stomach. Fifth House Feels the responsibility of the children or students. Children may be delayed or denied. May have miscarriages or abortions. Adoption is possible. Ninth House Realises the need for concentration on higher studies, repeated efforts and hard studies. Relatives may create problems. May force problems in communication, journalism, teaching, legal affairs, foreign assignments, travelling, and transportation. 10th House Stability, safety, and security in profession is doubtful. A raise and fall are possible. May suffer from strict discipline, early demise of parent and lack of opportunities but suitable for political powerful positions. Eleventh House Social circle is limited. May develop contacts with matured and elderly persons. Deals with companies, corporations, co-operative societies, and unions, political parties or holds a responsible position in an organisation. Twelfth House Feels the need for deep concentration, research strategy and secrecy. Suffers from secret enemies and insomnia. Favours medical profession, pharmacy, minerals, agriculture and teaching or research.
