Cashier's Murder

A murder took place at a petrol bunk in the out skirts of the city. The criminal killed the cashier of the bunk and ran away with the money. The crowd gathered around was discussing various possibilities. Inspector Nishikanth was observing the body that was lying on the ground. The photographer was taking photos. In the meantime detective Abhay got out of his car, barged into the crowd, pulled the door and entered in.

He saw another employee there along with the killed cashier. Inspector Nishikanth introduced him as Rajaram.

Rajaram was narrating the scene:

"I entered this room at six-o-clock in the morning and saw the cashier's body lying in a pool of blood and the cash chest opened. I was shocked and about to leave the room; then I heard someone behind the door, before I took a look at him he pointed a pistol at my back and ordered me to lie down and ran away closing the door behind."

Abhay listened the narration carefully and said, "So you are the culprit!"

Inspector Nishikanth gave a puzzled look at Abhay.

How could he find out that the killer was Rajaram?

Answer to the Puzzle

When Rajaram was narrating the scene he said that someone was there behind the door. But the door opens to the front. So there is no chance of hiding behind the door. It was evident that the story was cooked up.
