Oil | Preparation
- Boil Tur Dal till fully cooked. Boiled Tur Dal may be put into mixie to make it very smooth, and then maintain 750 ml quantity of Tur Dal including water in a soup form
- To the 750ml of Tur Dal (soup) water - add the ingredients from green chillies upto turmeric powder, let boil. Add salt to taste.
- For tempering, heat oil, add red chillies, and mustard seeds.
- Add this to the above soup.
- For Bonda:
- Wet grind the soaked Urid Dal to a thick paste consistency.
- To this add cooking soda, grated coconut, jeera, whole black peppers, and salt to taste.
Cooking Procedure
- Heat oil for deep frying.
- Above mixture, make into small round ball shape and deep fry to golden brown colour (1" round ball size)
- The fried bondas to be served in a soup bowl along with Dal soup.
